The Long and Winding Road

Down that long and winding road,
amidst the broken brier,
I walk aside the burning asphalt,
never do I tire.

Once it seemed to take me home,
right around the bend,
now it stretches toward the sky,
to a future without end.

Oh, that long and winding road,
wherever you lead I go.
The heat of the day,
or the cool of the shade,

you take me forward,
you see me run,
Closer, closer, here I come,
My destination: The setting sun.
